Pineapples have so many beauty benefits such as an acne remedies, clearer complexion, skin firming, and nail/cuticle strengthener just to name a few. So it is only fitting that I would want to share this awesome fruit recipe with you!
While working on set with McDonald's, I had the pleasure of working with Chef Dan Coudreaut, McDonald's Executive Chef and Vice President of Culinary Innovation. This particular day, I did Chef Dan's hair and makeup as usual, but had no clue that I was in for another sweet treat! For this video shoot that I was prepping him for, Chef Dan was demonstrating a sweet healthy treat that folks can make at home!
The dish consisted of these 4 ingredients:
Simple, right?!? Here is the recipe:
Chef Dan's Pineapple Delight:
1. Home-made simple syrup (1 cup sugar, 1 cup hot water )
2. Pure Vanilla Bean (1 to 2)
3. Whole Fresh Pineapple
Combine the flesh of 1 to 2 Vanilla Beans with the home-made simple syrup and stir. Once the sugar has melted and the ingredients are combined, pour over your freshly cut pineapple and let marinate in the refrigerator a minimum of 1 hour. The longer the fruit marinates, the richer the flavor becomes.
As soon as I went home, I made some for my Besties since we were meeting the next day for our typical pot-luck style gathering and it was a BIG hit! Yummmmmmm!
Now, If you want to take your pineapples to the next level, combine lime zest with sugar, sprinkle over your speared fruit and throw them on the grill! Check out this video with the recipe and get inspired!
