Today’s post is all about what to wear to different food occasions. And since I love food as much as I love a beautiful outfit writing this is like getting that one onion ring in your fry box! Winning at life bruh! So let me calm down… Ok, I’m good. Now that we got that outta the way we can talk about what to wear.
Brunch: You can wear a variety of things to brunch but you can’t go wrong with a beautiful maxi dress. Why a maxi? It is chic, typically lightweight, and mostly importantly, forgiving. It forgives you for eating the extra piece of french toast and chicken and breakfast potatoes followed by a mimosa or 6. I'm not judging, I’m just helping. In fact, I have been there. Eating too much for the sake of eating too much. Here is a beautiful maxi option from Asos.com that will camouflage the gluttony .
Date night & dinner: Whenever my husband and I are able to steal some time for ourselves for a dinner date I always amp up my sexy! I tend to go for a fitted midi style dress that shows off my curves. I want him to know that momma still has it - two babies and all.
Family lunch: Everyone in my family loves to eat! So when we go out to grab a bite to eat it is somewhat like a holiday. We get up bright and early (this is planned for several days so anticipation and anxiety is high), have a light meal for breakfast, and get the kids and ourselves dressed to head out the door. I opt for cute but comfort is the priority. White is NOT an option, like ever, in this situation but I will take a risk and wear a lighter color.
Tell me about how you like to dress for your favorite food occasions.
